With Evan up north fishing, it's just me and the little guys this weekend. When it's just the three of us, I always move Leo's mattress onto the floor in my room and Ben sleeps in the bed with me. I don't know why, but it just feels right when daddy is gone. So with the mattress gone, the platform bed obviously becomes a pirate ship.
At first the swords were my kitchen whisks. But one by one the requests turned into a full on pirate attire include Jake and the Neverland Pirates underwear.
Big brother Leo stops watching Hannah Montana (I am guilty of getting Leo into Hannah Montana. In January we both had the flu and were on the couch for days. I had to find something that was animated with out being literally animated so we could both watch. The best of both worlds ya know?) and joins in to play.
He is conveniently wearing his pirate pajamas adorned with easter egg stickers.
New house rule- no plastic swords touch my camera lens.
There was a sea serpent on the ship across the sea!
While Leo has no problem slaying his "Rexy" Ben starts to feel bad for the sea serpent and gets possessive over his own babies.
This is Panda and Foxy. They are very important items in this house. If one gets lost you could spend an hour searching for him in the middle of the night. Not cool.
